Music Page

Go see some live music. Here are some good "jam bands" to check out:
The classics
Allman Brothers, The Dead, Furthur, Phish, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveller, and any members of these bands playing with others.

Newer favorites
Abraham Inc, Lotus, Moe, Rusted Root, Splintered Sunlight, Heavy Pets, Perpetual Groove, Umphrees McGee, and the Disco Biscuits

Not "Jam Bands" but good
Arlo Guthrie, Keller Williams, Karl Denson, and anyone who plays at Ortlieb's Jazzhaus

Free, live music from any of these bands should be easy to find. They make money from performing, so go see them.

If you want to record music...

Download Audacity for free; go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net
This program is great. Mix your own tracks and export .wav files.

Find New Music

Pandora (www.pandora.com) is a free radio station that finds songs that you will like,
based on the songs you already like. Go ahead; open the box.
Look up the "Music Genome Project." This is how Pandora works.

Find old music

Here are two sites where you can find songs and play them online: www.rhapsody.com
Don't connect a wire to the headphone jack and the other end to the microphone jack,
and dont't record the song into Audacity and export it as a .wav file.
That would be wrong.

This page will include more links as I find them.
